Authnull Authenticator: Push MFA For Your Organization

PUSH MFA

review, then approve or deny

Authnull Authenticator brings MFA requests to your phone.

Review the request, then approve or deny it.

The Problem

When a sign-in needs approval, people need a clear way to respond. They need to see what the request is for and decide whether to allow it.

Authnull Authenticator gives users a place on their phone to review and answer push-MFA requests from their organization.

What Authnull Authenticator Does

Authnull Authenticator connects a person’s phone to their organization. When a push-MFA request arrives, the app displays details provided by the organization and lets the user approve or deny it.

A request may include information such as the account, resource, location, risk, and expiry. The details shown depend on what the organization provides.

Some approvals require biometric verification. Denials do not require it.

How It Works

  1. Add your organization. Scan an invite QR code, open an invite link, enter an activation code, or sign in through your organization.
  2. Review the invitation. The app checks the invite and shows organization details before enrollment.
  3. Register your phone. The app creates a device key and registers the phone with the organization.
  4. Receive a request. When a push-MFA request arrives, a notification brings it to your attention.
  5. Make a decision. Review the request details, then approve or deny. If biometric verification is required, confirm before approving.

Key Features

Push-MFA approvals

Review and respond to your organization’s requests from your phone.

Request context

Check the available details about a request before you decide.

Biometric verification

Confirm approvals with your device’s biometric prompt when required.

Account activity

View activity reported by the organization, including approved, denied, and expired requests.

Device management

Review enrolled phones and sign out another phone or your other phones from the account.

TOTP codes as an add-on

Add compatible time-based one-time codes by scanning a setup QR code or entering account details manually. The app stores TOTP secrets in secure device storage. These codes are separate from your organization’s push-MFA requests.

Where It Fits

Authnull Authenticator works with an organization’s Authnull MFA flow. Users enroll their phone with the organization, then use the app to respond to push requests for that account.

TOTP is an additional feature for compatible accounts. It does not replace the organization enrollment and push-approval flow.

Getting Started

Download Authnull Authenticator for your device:

  1. Open the app and choose how to add your organization.
  2. Follow the invite or sign-in steps shown in the app.
  3. Allow notifications so you can receive push-MFA requests.
  4. When a request arrives, review its details before responding.
  • Keep your activation code or invite QR available during setup.
  • If you sign in through your organization, use the address where you normally access it.

Takeaway

Authnull Authenticator gives organization users a place to review and answer push-MFA requests on their phone. TOTP codes are available as an add-on for compatible accounts.
